Sankofa II Collection Unisex T-Shirt
Sankofa II Collection Unisex T-Shirt
The sankofa symbolizes the Akan people’s quest for knowledge among the Akan with the implication that the quest is based on critical examination, and intelligent and patient investigation. The symbol is based on a mythical bird with its feet firmly planted forward with its head turned backwards. The Akan believe the past serves as a guide for planning the future. At The Wright Museum, it's our mission to celebrate African American history and culture. We look to the past to inform the future.
This t-shirt celebrating Black History Month is made of a thicker, heavier cotton, but it's still soft and comfy. And the double stitching on the neckline and sleeves add more durability to what is sure to be a favorite!
